環南中國海國際自行車大賽是在中國的香港、澳門、佛山、珠海、廣州等沿海城市或珠江三角洲城市舉辦的國際自行車賽事。據佛山市體育局相關人士介紹，由於該 項賽事於每年年末舉行，正好是世界自行車比賽的淡季，因此可以吸引世界各地的自行車隊伍參賽。另外，線路選在中國香港、澳門及珠江三角洲幾個經濟發達的城 市和地區舉行，對當地自行車項目的發展起到一定的推動作用。
